FOREIGN CONFERENCE AT INDONESIA

Thoufeek N A (S6 ME) from the Mechanical Engineering Department presented a research paper titled “Effect of Cylinder Liner Thickness and Material on Stress Conditions and Temperature Distribution of Diesel Engines” at the 5th International Engineering Students Conference (IESC) organized by Faculty of Engineering Universitas Indonesia, held from 23 - 25 July 2020, at the University of Indonesia Campus, West Java. This is the very first time a student from the Mechanical Engineering Department is presenting a research paper at a foreign conference. The co-authors of the paper are Vinay V A (S6 ME) and Mohammed Arif (S4 ME).

According to the conference organizers, students from 7 countries presented their research works. It is indeed a matter of great pride that Thoufeek N A was the only student from India who got the opportunity to present a paper at the UG level. 

The 5th International Engineering Students Conference (IESC) 2020 is an annual conference which aims to provide a scientific and networking platform for young researchers and students in the Engineering and Technology fields. Due to the present COVID-19 induced lock-down, the oral presentations were conducted through virtual platforms.
