The team of students from Dept of Mechanical Engineering, VASTTC bagged the FIRST PRIZE under the health category in the "PROJECT PITCHING AND IDEATHON COMPETITION", conducted by Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Center (IEDC), Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, Thrissur in collaboration with World's Largest Entrepreneurship Summit 2020 organized by 3GIRPS [HQ: Madras Research Park] and India CEO Forum held from 18th to 20th December 2020.

The team proposed an idea on "Low-cost ultra violet-C Disinfecting Device for prevention of Health-care associated Pathogens in Public Places."
