MECHANICAL ENGINEERING STUDENTS EXCEL IN SPORTS MEET

The students of the Mechanical Engineering Department at Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, Technical Campus, Kilimanoor, showcased an outstanding performance in the recent sports meet, securing top positions across multiple track and field events.

Among the remarkable winners, Akhil P A dominated the long-distance category by clinching the 1500 meters title while also contributing to the victories in the 4×100 and 4×200 relay events. Rahul Krishna R and Adarsh B Babu made a mark by securing the first position in relay events, with Adarsh also excelling in the 200 meters race.

Job A John exhibited exceptional sprinting skills, securing gold in the 100 and 400 meters and silver in the 200 meters. Meanwhile, in the field events, Ardra Balachandran demonstrated her strength and technique, winning second place in javelin throw, discus throw, and shot put.

This remarkable performance not only highlights the athletic excellence of the Mechanical Engineering Department but also reflects their determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
