The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, Technical Campus, Kilimanoor, has once again demonstrated its engineering prowess by unveiling a student-built buggy at the much-anticipated technical fest, VEGA 25.
A team of talented mechanical engineering students designed and fabricated the buggy, showcasing their skills in automobile engineering, structural design, and fabrication techniques. The vehicle, featuring a bright yellow exoskeleton frame, attracted significant attention from attendees, faculty, and fellow students.
The buggy project reflects the department’s emphasis on hands-on learning and innovation, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world scenario. The students meticulously worked on the chassis design, powertrain integration, and safety measures, ensuring a fully functional and robust off-road vehicle.
The unveiling event saw an overwhelming response, with students and faculty members gathering to witness the test run. The buggy was driven around the campus, demonstrating its
power and maneuverability. The event also highlighted the spirit of teamwork and technical excellence that defines the mechanical engineering department at Vidya Academy.
